I just like to let you all know in personally, I did not once say I painted it, I did not paint it, it was meant to LOOK LIKE a painted piece.

The piece looks like a colored manga scan, that widely opposes the intended graphic mix with circles and whats not in the background, plus the colorscheme is a bit off to start with.
Best thing I can recommend is to try to vector the guy for better measures, so the black shadows as tones off his skin won't look so dark as opposed with the background that is white off.
or another is to do a black + red themed piece that might appeal to a few but not all. All in all, a better scan is needed or you need to vector it, either way, the appeal factor is low at this point, not that I think that will matter, as long as it floats your boat as a waller. Which is what I do all the time, don't give a damn to what other's think lol.
